CLIFTON PARK, NY – Apprenda, creator of Apprenda, the first application server for software-as-a-service (SaaS), today unveiled its Advisory Board of cloud and application infrastructure veterans. Members include Frank Artale, Vice President of Business Development at Citrix Systems; Simon Crosby, CTO of Data Center & Cloud at Citrix Systems; and Mark Leslie, who was the founding Chairman and CEO of Veritas.
The Board of Advisors will help provide the company strategic market, operating and product feedback with respect to the ongoing growth and success of Apprenda and Apprenda.
“Apprenda is solving a key need for enterprises and ISVs that want all the benefits of cloud economics and elastic scaling, for today’s applications,” said Simon Crosby. “The company’s platform provides an evolutionary approach to application developers and revolutionary benefits to application owners in IT, freeing applications from the bounds of server-based provisioning and enabling them to automatically scale, making best use of available capacity in the data center.”
“I am honored to have such accomplished leaders and strategists on our Advisory Board,” said Sinclair Schuller, CEO of Apprenda. “Working with industry leaders like Frank, Simon, and Mark will be important in achieving our mission of ensuring that customers focus on their core competency for writing and selling software and not on SaaS architecture and operational overhead.”
