Gaun will be responsible for driving product messaging and customer and technology centric positioning and research.

A highly regarded expert in cloud and scientific computing, Gaun recently hosted one of the most well-attended webinars in Gartner history entitled “Which Cloud Provider Fits Our Needs Best? Gaun joined Gartner through the firm’s acquisition of IDEAS International in August 2012 and brings nearly a decade of IT experience to Apprenda. While at IDEAS, Gaun created a widely-adopted TCO calculator which measured cloud costs and helped customers determine which IaaS offering best fit their needs. Gaun began his career in quantitative finance and physics after earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in physics.
