Apprenda is expanding in New York City with a new office in the Flatiron District.
The larger office space will give Apprenda more room as it hires new engineering and sales employees in Manhattan. The software company has been on a hiring spree after closing its latest investment round of $24 million in July.
Apprenda, headquartered in downtown Troy, builds a software platform that allows its customers, including those in finance and pharmaceuticals, to build and deploy computer applications. Clients include JPMorgan Chase and McKesson.
The company has raised $56 million in venture capital investments. The most recent investment investment has allowed Apprenda to expand beyond 100-plus employees in Troy and New York City. It opened its first New York City office in 2012 to be close to its largest customers.
Apprenda also has offices overseas in Amsterdam, London and Munich.
