Apprenda recently committed itself to supporting Google’s Kubernetes, the open-source orchestration system for Docker containers. It’s a substantial step forward for the company and we are excited to join the engaging Kubernetes community.
While we’ve already attended many meetups focused on Kubernetes, today we are announcing the first meetup we’re sponsoring — Kubernetes and Kraft Beer. This event takes place on March 16th at 6pm ET at the Apprenda NYC offices.
The centerpiece of the Kubernetes and Kraft Beer event will be a talk by Google solutions engineer Brian Suk, who will give a technical overview of Kubernetes and answering questions from the crowd. Brian is a member of the Google Cloud Platform team and he spends much of his time ensuring customers are successful in leveraging Google technologies.
Outside of Brian’s talk, a good chunk of the event will be dedicated to networking and talking Kubernetes with like-minded technologists. And did we mention we’ll be providing free craft beer and pizza to those that can attend?
To make sure we can continue hosting and being involved in events like this one, we also created a new Meetup group called Container Orchestration NYC, which will create lively discussions about Kubernetes, Apache Mesos, Docker Swarm, and other container orchestration technologies with other New York developers and companies. We hope you can become a member of this group as well.
Sign up for the Kubernetes and Kraft Beer event today and we hope to see you at the Apprenda NYC offices on March 16. If you would like to be involved with the event or future Container Orchestration NYC events, please get in touch with me at “sean AT apprenda dot com” or connect on Twitter.
