Sales Representative


We are currently seeking a talented SaaS Infrastructure Sales Representative to manage and prospect into ISVs with a keen focus on driving revenue to Apprenda. Will work closely with the other members of the Sales and Marketing teams to build and maintain relationships and achieve/exceed an established quota, hunt & farm within an assigned area, and develop/maintain relationships from the operational through the C-level.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, articulate sales professional with proven analytical, negotiation and collaboration skills that knows how to leverage a consultative sales approach and can grasp complex technologies and distill them to key value points. This role is a fantastic opportunity to be an impact player in one of the hottest cloud-focused companies in the market.

Job Requirements:

  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding assigned sales objectives and quarterly revenue quotas, maintaining existing and building new revenue within your area of responsibility.  
  • Review complex customer requirements and implementation plans for customer needs, and provides specific solution recommendations
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, & competitors
  • Gather information on the customer’s business processes, critical success factors, and competitive standing through a strategic and consultative sales approach to deliver value-added business solutions.
  • Maintain contact with the customer, resolve problems, and seek additional opportunities to meet needs.
  • Structure presentations, offerings, and contract negotiations that move the customer toward the purchase
  • Collaborate with internal resources to share information and coordinate sales.
  • Provide support, mentoring, and leadership to sales team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science or science/engineering degree a plus)
  • 1+ years of B2B sales experience,
    • Preferred: 1+ years of infrastructure software sales experience (e.g., application server sales, database sales, etc.)
  • Must be able to attend on-site customer appointments on an as-needed basis. These customer appointments can, and often do, require travel to multiple locations—both domestically and internationally.
  • Expert Account Management skills
  • Expert knowledge and experience in Senior Account Management, Time Management, and strong Business Acumen
  • Proficient in contract negotiations
  • Possess excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Have the ability to follow process, measure results, and manage pipelines accordingly
